If you prefer to stay in a city we recommend Ostuni. It has a vibrant centro storico in summer, with restaurants and bars to be discovered in every alleyway twisting around and up and down the hilltop upon which the duomo sits. It’s nooks and crannies are worth taking two or three days to explore, at a gentle pace and is perfectly positioned as a base to explore the Valle d’Itria and beyond.

Set out over 2 floors and a generous 101m² (not including its 3 rooftop terraces), this is a self contained 5 room, including 2 bedrooms, old town apartment finished in contemporary style, located 150m from the main Piazza della Libertà.

Bright and airy, with traditional high vaulted ceilings the apartment has 3 balconies and 3 rooftop terraces, each with panoramic views of Ostuni’s old town, dominated by the Duomo, and across the olive groves to the Adriatic Sea.

Aside from the amazing terrace views, undoubtedly some of the best over Ostuni’s cathedral, we especially liked that Apartment Q40 feels like a home for living in, rather than a set of rooms decorated for for the benefit of guests.

Although the apartment can sleep up to 6, the apartment is marketed as one bedroom for the comfort of guests.

If you want a sense of how living in the heart of Ostuni feels, this is the place to stay. Convenient, comfortable and quiet. Whilst street parking is available it is limited in the immediate vicinity of the apartment - in common with all old town and central Ostuni apartments. This is authentic old town living. However parking is available in the nearby main public parking areas (less than 5 minutes walking distance from the apartment).
