Covid in Puglia | Green pass and mask wearing for bars, restaurants and shops set to end

From 1 May people will no longer be required to wear masks in bars, restaurants and shops. From then it is only recommended.

The obligation to wear masks will remain until 15 June on all forms of public transport, in hospitals and nursing homes, in cinemas and theatres, at concerts and indoor sporting events, and in schools and universities.

Italy will also drop the Green Pass and Super Green Pass digital certificate systems (although the Super Green Pass system will remain in force until 31 December for those visiting hospitals and nursing homes).

An order is due to be signed this Friday by Italy’s health minister.

Official covid-19 information in English can be found on the Italian health ministry website.
